George
Fine Art Giclée Print
From the moment I first saw him, George captured my heart.
With his calm presence and unmistakable character, George celebrates one of Australia’s most iconic birds. Originally photographed by the talented Cat Campbell, George was a familiar and much-loved visitor to her front yard — a proud, cheeky resident of the hillside near her home.
This piece holds special meaning for me. George was also my grandfather’s name — someone who remains deeply cherished — giving this artwork a personal connection that quietly underpins the painting.
In 2025, George was selected for the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours annual exhibition at the prestigious Mall Galleries, London — a moment that affirmed the strength of his story, and its ability to resonate well beyond our Australian landscape.
