About Michelle …
Michelle is a watercolour artist living in the sunny coastal town of Yeppoon, Queensland. From her Cape Cod–inspired seaside cottage, she paints in a light-filled studio where the sea breeze drifts in and birdsong is a constant companion. Her art is a natural extension of her surroundings—elegant, coastal, and full of quiet charm—reflecting the beauty and rhythm of the life she leads by the sea.
Her work celebrates nature. Deeply inspired by the detail of John James Audubon and the scientific precision of John Gould, Michelle’s paintings are a gentle tribute to the wild. Using watercolour, a medium that embodies softness and elegance, she captures each creature with care and reverence.
In 2025, Michelle was honoured to have one of her kookaburra paintings selected for exhibition at London’s prestigious Mall Galleries, as part of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours Annual Exhibition—a proud milestone in her artistic journey.
Her latest collection is inspired by coastal life and three very special boys—her grandsons, little fishermen in the making. Through these works, Michelle hopes to leave behind a legacy filled with wonder, salt air, and a deep love for nature and family.
