Anna’s Hummingbird III completes the trio within my 457 Visa – Temporary Skilled Migration collection, first exhibited in 2024 at Fig Tree Gallery, Yeppoon. This final piece captures another fleeting encounter — a moment defined by movement, colour and the quiet magic of observation.
With a gentle thread of humour, the work imagines Anna’s hummingbirds as temporary arrivals to the Capricorn Coast — tiny travellers granted short-term residence as unlikely crop pollination specialists. Their suspended motion and vibrant presence bring a sense of lightness and playful energy to the composition.
